July 18 has been  proclaimed as the Reginald M. Harrod Day by the state of Maryland in honor of is countless years of giving to the various communities he served.

On this day we will show appreciation to community pioneers who continue the vision of community first and continue to give their services to those in need. These selfless acts of kindness do not go unnoticed and this day is dedicated to giving them appreciation for their works.
